Terms of trade

A plain summary of how we supply. Your account paperwork carries the full terms, which take precedence.

Trade only

We supply businesses only. We do not sell to consumers.

Orders

Orders placed with the desk by 10pm are delivered on your next agreed delivery day. Bulk, imported and made-to-spec lines may need longer notice, which the desk will confirm.

Prices

Prices exclude VAT where it applies and include delivery to your agreed address. Fresh market prices can change daily; the price on your delivery note is the price charged.

Delivery and claims

Please check goods on delivery. Report any shortage, damage or temperature issue with chilled or frozen goods to the desk on the morning of delivery so we can collect and credit.

Payment

New accounts pay pro forma until credit is agreed in writing. Approved accounts pay on the terms stated in their account letter.

Title and risk

Risk passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes when we have been paid in full.
